Traditionally, restorations required at least two dentist appointments since physical dental impressions were created and shipped to a dental lab. Our dental team is pleased to provide CEREC technology for same-day restorations. CEREC (which stands for ceramic reconstruction) uses computer-aided design (CAD) and CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) technology to produce your restoration at our practice while you wait. Michael F. Alspaugh, DDS utilizes the CEREC system to make custom-made bridges, crowns, inlays, and onlays. The CEREC system may also be used for cosmetic treatments to make customized veneers. This innovative treatment allows you to bypass the hassle and time of physical impressions and temporary covers. What to Expect from CEREC Same-Day Restorations
Your CEREC restoration begins with a consultation where your dentist can make your unique treatment plan. The process requires a digital scan of your teeth. The scan helps our team to manufacture your restoration. From that point, your restoration will be placed into the CEREC machine to be made. The amount of time required to create your restoration depends on its dimensions. When the restoration is completed, we can finish and polish the piece before putting it in place. We may also adjust the restoration so it's comfortable and matches your natural teeth.

Dr Alspaugh and his staff are wonderful! I have always had a fear of going to the dentist, but with gas I was very comfortable. I had a crown done and he made the crown in the office while I was there so I wouldn’t have to come back for a second visit. I am very impressed with his dental work! His dental equipment is also top notch nothing I have seen at my other dentist. He has also removed all the mercury fillings in my mouth.
