Often times we get asked what kind of toothbrush should I be using. The best toothbrush for anyone would be a sonicare toothbrush like Philips Sonicare. I have seen some of the best results from patients who switch over from a regular toothbrush to a sonicare toothbrush. If you don’t like electric toothbrushes than the best toothbrush for you would be one that fits comfortable in your mouth and is soft. Don’t reach for the hard toothbrush. The whole point of brushing is to remove plaque not to remove your tooth or gums.

Is one Sonicare toothbrush better than another? Considering the DiamondClean (twice as much but also twice as many brushing movements/min…62k…compared to my now dead ProResults @ 31k)
Hey Aaron,
Sonicare is one of the best brands of toothbrush out there. The difference between the different types varies on price and function buttons. All of them are proven to remove more plaque and stain than any other electric toothbrush brand on the market. It just depends on your personal needs. The Diamond Clean is the top of the line toothbrush. It has multiple functions and a traveling charging case. All the patients I have seen have had great results using any of the sonicare toothbrushes. It is ultimately up to you I am pleased with all of them. Hope this helps.
Sincerely,

It is good to know that the best kind of toothbrush is one that fits comfortably in your mouth and one that is soft. I did not realize that reaching for the hard toothbrush could damage your gums. I have also heard that flossing at least once a day can really enhance gum health.
